SAAT TOUR TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

IMARA Organization through its department of Education and Youth organized the trip for students who are the member of Students AIDS Action Team (SAAT). The student collaborates with the organization in providing education in schools and colleges. The objectives of the trip were as follows: -

• To conduct local tourism.
• To learn on how to use practical tourist sight lines, particularly for foreign tourists.
• To congratulate the students who had a good performance in various SAAT activities.
• To see and know the advantages and disadvantages of tourism.

The journey began in the morning at 8:00 am, on Thursday to the Serengeti National Park, using a rented car transport type Hiece. After one hour and seven minutes we arrived at the Ikoma Gate for registration and paying the entry fees to enter in the park, the park rangers gave us different rules and obligations to follow when we are conducting tourism.

Obligated to follow all the national park procedures, there we continued with our journey to conduct tourism. Once out from the Ikoma gate, we met a Giant Elephants  searching for  meals to chew them up; the elephant is really a great animal and a big destroyer of trees when eating and cutting them down.

We also met a lioness chewing and swallowing meat after hunting, and we managed to see the impala eating grasses, students enjoyed much by viewing and smiling on the beauty of the beautiful park scenery, and wonderfully despite of the fact that they dwell in Serengeti, it was their first time for the majority of our SAAT students to visit the park. Believe it or not, the Tanzania beauty was manifested and enjoyed as much enough.

Another attraction is the Hippo pool, in which students were able to see the hippos as they begin roaring gently while extending their big mouths. Hippopotamus is characterized of its time looking for food at night on land then returns to the water after getting satisfied in the morning. Hippos and crocodiles live together in the water without any realistic violence. Hippos are in danger when the water level is low or dried up in their pool, or river, contrary to their life mechanism support.

After one hour and forty-nine minutes, we managed to reach Seronera Visiting Centre and well received by workers there. We were oriented around the areas so as to understand the history of animals, rocks and various species in the park, and therefore the students managed to understand the origin of the Serengeti national park with variety of animals found in the park. At 12:30 pm it was a respective time to go for lunch with the Students.

The journey began on time 2:15 pm from Seronera Visiting Centre toward Bilila Hotel for witnessing other attractions, where tourists can come and relax when they are doing a tour, we reached at 3:33 pm to the hotel, Bilila is one of the biggest and standard Hotel in the Serengeti National Park, of course the hotel is very interesting where we got the opportunity to visit different parts of the hotel and see the rooms how are designed such as the  Presidential room and other guests rooms with their ranks, were very comfortable and attractive to relax and enjoy. The goal was to challenge the students to make efforts in their studies so they can one day get the chance to go there for work or tourism.

After performing our tourism activities in the hotel we decided to leave Bilila at 5:17 pm. Generally the Serengeti national park is the best of its kind, the endless plains with the abundance of various species of wild creatures. Our trip was really good, very interesting cheer able as well as desirable, would you like to join us……????????
